PLEAN TARTAN ARMY

For years following scotland the Plean lads used to bump into each other at matches and in the Counting House but all in pairs and traveling to and from games separately.

In April 2007 whilst sitting in The Clansman I announced to the lads that I had made a web site and had bought the domain name WWW.THEPLEANTARTANARMY.CO.UK

We've had over 10,000 hits in one year. I put it to lads there and then to run a branch from the Clansman pub located on the main street in the village of Plean

One year on we have 27 members 18 of which are SSC members. We have raised £750 for charity and made our first away trip as a club to Paris where we will never forget being in the Parc de Princes after walking in the march and seeing faddy score his goal .

We travel to home games on the train and have pre match drinks in the Counting House George Square.

Four of us went to Germany to the World Cup 2006 and joined in the fan fest in Frankfurt where we got our first flag signed by fans from all nations and Tommy Burns signed it on the way back.

Plean is a small village near Bannockburn but few members come from there. We have members from Cowie ,Bannockburn, Bonny bridge and even one who stays in England ..

We welcome new members from the Stirling area .

Our next charity night is on the 3rd Oct. in Clansman, Plean , more details to follow.

We're all looking forward to Macedonia and the new campaign.

Don't forget to visit our web site and say hello.

Madmur (aka Murray Kelly)
